Frequently Asked Questions

We believe as soon as you set foot on our campus, you’ll realize there’s something different about Coastal Pointe. One of these differences is our dedication to providing you the most updated and accurate information available.

We know you have questions when it comes to assisted living, and we promise to take time to address them all. In fact, we’ve compiled this list of some of the most frequently asked questions we receive. Take a moment to review this list, and if you have a question that wasn’t addressed here, we’ll happily answer it if you contact us.

Who pays for assisted living care?

This can vary depending upon your individual situation. Our Business Office will work with you in helping you maneuver the process to determine what you will need to pay and ways to finance your care.

What is respite care?

This is a short-term stay.

What activities are offered in the community?

There are plenty of activities to keep you busy at Coastal Pointe. Our wide range of activities includes everything from shopping excursions to religious services.

What is Memory Care?

At Coastal Pointe we have 48 beds dedicated to those with dementia-related diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Through our Memory Care services, we provide engaging activities in a safe environment for these residents.

Are residents allowed to bring in personal items from home?

Yes! We want our residents to make their new address seem more like home. This means we welcome bringing photos, clothes, books and personal care items. However, before bringing larger items like furniture, we ask that you speak to us first.

Are pets allowed to visit?

This depends upon the individual situation, but we will take it on a case-by-case basis. Speak to our staff for more information. Remember that any animal that comes to our community must have up-to-date vaccination records.

What services do you provide?

Our philosophy is that we respect independence but we will gladly give a helping hand if needed.

We take care of many of the mundane tasks of daily living, freeing you to enjoy your time at Coastal Pointe. We provide housekeeping services, scheduled outings, delicious meals and more. We can also help in the activities of daily living, such as bathing, going to the bathroom, eating and medication management.

What if a higher level of care is needed?

The resident’s doctor is the one who will designate the level of care that is best for the patient. Then, our community will assist the resident in finding an appropriate placement.
